1. Install blocks (1) on both sides of the differential as shown to hold the differential up. Remove nuts and washers (2) that hold the differential to the axle housing. 2. Fasten a lift truck to the axle housing as shown. Remove nuts and washers (3). Remove axle housing (4). Weight is 660 lb. (297 kg).Install Axle Housing
1. Be sure the surfaces of the frame, differential and axle housing that make contact are clean. Put clean grease on O-ring seal (1). Put 2P2506 Lubricant on the threads of studs (2) and on the faces of the washers for the studs. Put the axle housing in position on the frame and install the washers and nuts on studs (2). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 350 15 lb.ft. (470 20 N m). 2. Put 2P2506 Lubricant on the threads of studs (3) and on the faces of the washers for the studs. Install the washers and nuts on studs (3). Tighten the nuts to a torque of 125 10 lb.ft. (170 14 N m).3.
