Remove the Joystick from the machine.
Identify the sensor to replace. The table belowindicates the old and new sensor part numbers and the associated function.
257-2528 replaces 230-6265257-2531 replaces 2306268/">230-6268Remove all 2306268/">230-6268 and 230-6265 sensor groupswith the affected date codes from stock. Remove all stock between the datecode of ULNKNE (16-07-03) and MEUNNE (23-10-03).Date Code Format Table

Remove screws and washers that hold the sensorto the joystick.

Pull the sensor straight off the joystick.
Put the joystick in the center position for thesteering direction and the neutral position for the FNR direction.
Ensure the D-Drive is in the correct orientation.
257-2528 replaces 230-6265257-2531 replaces 2306268/">230-6268Align the "D" shaped recess on the sensor withthe "D" shaped projection of the joystick shaft. If necessary, gently rotatesensor into alignment with a small flat head screwdriver. Illustration 3
Push the sensor straight on to the base (do notcock or force) insuring the alignment pin is in the sensor hole. The sensorshould be approximately flush to all mounting bosses.

Install screws and washers. Torque to 1.70 +/-0.25Nm and do not over tighten.
Reinstall the joystick. While reinstalling, putthread lock (part number 4C4030 or 9S3263) on each of the 6R7653 screwsthat affix the stop plate to the tractor. This will help prevent the 6R7653screws from backing out.
Perform joystick calibration procedure. Referto Position Sensor (Forward/Neutral/Reverse) of Joystick Control - Calibrateand Position Sensor (Steering) of Joystick Control ? Calibrate in RENR5539.
Ensure correct operation of the machine.
