Standard Control PanelThe standard control panel starts a generator when a DC negative ground signal is applied to the remote initiate contact. The ground signal is sent from a remote start switch or the ground signal is sent by another monitoring system. The control panel transfers the load to the generator when the operating criteria have been met. The control panel shuts down the engine when the remote start signal is removed.The control panel performs all of the start/stop functions of the engine. If the engine shuts down, the first fault condition of an engine failure is shown by a flashing indicator on the front panel. All other related faults are shown by a steady indicator on the front panel. The customer can alter the selective operational sequences. The customer can also alter the timers and the alarm trips. Alterations to the system are made by using the P808 interface. Refer to the "P808 For Windows" software manual.A password blocks access to the critical operational sequences and settings that should only be used by qualified engineers. The timers are protected by another password in order to allow the operator to make changes.The control panel is contained in a hi-impact plastic housing for mounting on the front panel. Connections are made to the control panel by locking connectors.The control panel is activated when the control module is connected to the DC power supply (8 VDC to 35 VDC).The Engine Control Switch (ECS) can be a three-position rotary switch or a key switch. The type of switch is specified on the order. The switch is mounted on the front of the control module. The switch has three positions: STOP, AUTO and MANUAL.
