Information:
Part numbers of the new lever assemblies with the new stop did not change.
The current part numbers of the direction lever assemblies are 5U7895 and 5U7896. However, earlier parts books and microfiche list the former DJB part numbers DH7895 and DH7896.Procedure To Install New Stop:
1. Make two new stops to the dimensions given in the illustration. Use SAE1018 or BS970 Grade 535A99 Steel.
Dimensions for machining the stops and their location after pressed in the levers.2. Drive the existing stop out of each lever assembly.3. Clean all traces of old retaining compound from each locating hole in the lever.4. Coat the inside of each hole with 9S3265 Retaining Compound.5. Press each stop into position in the lever as shown.
