Use the following procedure to tighten the track bolts:
1. Apply SAE 30W oil to the bolt threads and the washer faces that hold the track shoes to the links.
2. Tighten the track bolts to 400 70 N m (295 52 lb ft).
3. Tighten the standard track bolts to an additional turn of 120 5 degrees.
4. Tighten the master link bolts to an additional turn of 120 5 degrees.
- - - The maximum assembly force for the track link assembly is 665000 N (149499 lb).
- - - The reference setting force is 475000 N (106785 lb).
A - - Distance between the bolt holes is 137.29 0.39 mm (5.405 0.015 inch).
B - - Distance between the bolt holes is 185.29 0.39 mm (7.295 0.015 inch).
C - - Distance between the bolt holes is 134.85 0.80 mm (5.309 0.032 inch).
D - - Distance between the bolt holes is 158.73 0.80 mm (6.249 0.032 inch).
