The grounding bar needs to be reworked on the products listed below. The existing grounding bar connections need to have the torque inspected. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 10Feb2009 when scheduling this service.

Rework Procedure
Isolate Genset before commencing any work on the unit, activate emergency stop, open Genset breaker and disconnect battery cables. Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times.
Unbolt the side panel of the generator, reference image 1.1.1.
1. Inspect the torque of the ground bus bar and all of its associated connections to ensure that they are properly tightened to a torque of 150 Nm (110 lb ft). Reference number 1 in Image 1.2.1 identifies the bolts that need to be checked.

Reattach the side panel of the generator, refer to Image 1.1.1.
Clear generator area, reconnect batteries, release emergency stop, and clear emergency stop fault code.
