Reassembly as a rule, is made in reverse of disassembly.5-1 Preparation
Prepare a workbench, tools and supplies in the same way as for servicing and disassembly in 3 and 4.5-2 General Precautions
(1) Pay the same attention to the general disassembly precautions in 4.(2) Check prior to reassembly to ensure that all parts are free from metal particles or foreign matter, and that parts are free from burs or scratches. Remove any burs or scratches with an oilstone.(3) As a rule, renew O-rings and backup rings.(4) Use care when fitting O-rings and backup rings to prevent damage. (Apply a small amount of vaseline to make them smooth.)(5) Vaseline may be used during installation to prevent parts falling apart.(6) Tighten screws to the torque shown in 3 (Tightening torque). Check tightening torque by using a torque wrench.(7) When reassembly is completed, plug all ports to prevent entry of dirt.5-3 Reassembly Procedure
(1) Cleaning Thoroughly clean all parts and remove all foreign matter, paint and hydraulic oil.* Since oil path inside body (1) is complicated use due care and perform thorough cleaning.(2) Tightening of orifice and plug 1. Tighten orifice (11) to body (1) to the specified tightening torque. * Refer to 3-2 Tightening torque. 2. Tighten plugs (14) to the specified tightening torque. * Wind seal tape around the plugs. Start winding seal tape from the smaller diameter points 1.5 turns leaving 2 threads uncovered, then screw in.(3) Installation of relief valve assembly 1. Apply a small amount of vaseline to the O-ring of the relief valve assembly (5). * Applying exessive amount of vaseline causes vaseline to smear out with the O-ring (8) when relief valve assembly is tightened resulting in damaged O-ring, then apply only a small amount. 2. Tighten relief valve assembly (5) to body (1). * Use care since excessive tightening like striking the spanner with a hammer deforms the relief valve assembly which causes malfunction.(4) Reassembling of counterbalance valve 1. Carefully clean the outer circumference of counterbalance spool assembly with clean cleaning solution so as no fine dust remains.2. Also carefully clean the inner circumference of spool guides at both ends of counterbalance spool assembly so as no fine dust remains. 3. Insert spool (2) into body (1). * Since the spool sliding surface of body (1) is precision finished, use care not to scratch or damage by trying to force in.* When the spool is inserted, slide by hand and check that it slides smoothly without any hitching. 4. Fit spacer (10).As in the case of disassembly, fit with spool (2) slightly pushed out state. (Do the same for the other side.) 5. Fit O-rings (12), (13). (Do the same for the other side.) 6. Install spring (9). (Do the same for the other side.) 7. Tighten plug (29) to flange (18) to the specified tightening torque. * Refer to 3-2 Tightening torque. 8. Thoroughly clean the outer circumference of plunger assembly (3) with cleaning solution so as no fine dust remains. 9. Install plunger assembly
