Removal Procedure
Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Open the engine hood.

Remove bolts (1) and exhaust pipe (2) .

Loosen muffler clamp (3) .

Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to muffler assembly (4) .

Remove bolts (5) from the muffler support bracket.
Use the hoist to remove muffler assembly (4). The weight of muffler assembly (4) is 20 kg (45 lb).Installation Procedure

Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to muffler assembly (4). Use the hoist to install muffler assembly (4). The weight of muffler assembly (4) is 20 kg (45 lb).

Install bolts (5) .

Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to muffler clamp (3). Tighten muffler clamp (3) .

Install exhaust pipe (2) and bolts (1) .
Close the engine hood.End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
