Information:
Check
The machine must have no load.
Stop the machine on a hard level surface. Move the transmission control to the neutral position. Engage the parking brake and stop the engine. Install the steering frame locks and support the front frame with suitable stands.

Dimension for setting the suspension height
Measure the distance between the centers of the suspension cylinder pins. The suspension ride height is correct when the dimension is 914 mm (36.0 inch).
Remove the steering frame locks and remove the supports for the front frame.Adjust
Do not adjust the suspension until the intended service work is complete and personnel are clear of the machine, or until the machine has been shipped. Tie-downs must be removed from the tractor frame before the suspension is adjusted. In order to ensure correct operation of the suspension system, the ride height must be set correctly.Use the following procedure in order to set the front suspension ride height:
Park the machine on a hard, level surface and block the trailer wheels on both sides.
Install the steering frame locks.
Start the engine and run the engine at low idle.
Disengage the parking brake. The trailer wheels must be allowed to rotate as the suspension is lowered.

Location of the manual shutoff valves
Illustration 3 g00569707
The manual shutoff valves are located behind the cab under the transmission guard behind the left wheel. (1) Manual drain valve (2) Manual shutoff valve
Make sure that the hoist control lever is in the hold position. Open manual drain valve (1) and open manual shutoff valve (2). This should allow the suspension to lower. Allow the suspension to fully lower.
Close manual drain valve (1). Leave manual shutoff valve (2) open.

Dimension for setting the suspension height
Measure the vertical dimension between the top of the wheel rim and the fender. Record the measurement.
Move the hoist lever from the hold position to the lower position. This will raise the front suspension ride height by allowing oil to flow into the suspension cylinders. Operate the hoist control intermittently between lower and hold until the measured dimension has increased by 100 mm (3.94 inch).Note: The above dimension is equivalent to a distance between the centers of the suspension cylinder pins of 914 mm (36.0 inch).
Move the hoist control to the hold position and close manual shutoff valve (2) .
Engage the parking brake and move the hoist control lever to the float position.
Stop the engine. Remove the steering frame locks and remove the wheel blocks.Note: If maintenance work has been carried out, the suspension must be fully raised and lowered three times in order to purge air from the system.Note: If the suspension ride height needs to be increased frequently, check the suspension cylinders for leakage of oil and check the suspension cylinders for leakage of gas. Also check the hydraulic lines and check the manual valves.
