fluids program in North America is now about two years old. To avoid confusion in the field, Caterpillar's fluids products will now be called "Cat Diesel Engine Oil", "Cat Engine Oil", "Cat Hydraulic Oil", "Cat Drive Transmission and Drive Train Oil", "Cat Gear Oil", etc. It was decided to capitalize on the equity of the Cat name and new corporate identity. "Cat fluids" will be used to describe this group of products and "Cat" will become part of the product description.
The CXP name will be gradually phased out since there are still many containers with CXP labels. These will be used until supplies are exhausted. The oil products will not be affected by the name change.
