Note: Make sure that the four tooth cut locations of each friction plate (19) are in alignment. Also, the four tooth cut locations of each separator plate (18) must be in alignment in body (17) of the swing motor.
Apply clean hydraulic oil on four separator plates (18) and three friction plates (19). Install separator plates (18) and friction plates (19) in alternating order in body (17). Begin with a separator plate (18), and end with a separator plate (18) .

Install piston (16) in body (17) of the swing motor in the original position. Threaded holes (X) can be used as a guide during installation. Use a suitable soft faced hammer to aid in the installation of piston (16) if there is resistance from the O-ring seal.

Install springs (14) in piston (16) (not shown).

Install two pins (13) and bearing (12) in head (10) .
Install O-ring seal (11) on head (10) .

(X) Flange (Y) Slot
Apply a thin coat of Tooling (G) on the face of plate (15) that contacts head (10). The grease will hold plate (15) to head (10). Install plate (15) on head (10) in the original position.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Place head (10) in the original position on body (17). Install four socket head bolts (9) that secure head (10). Tighten socket head bolts (9) to a torque of 620 95 N m (460 69 lb ft).

Note: Be sure to install each makeup valve (4) in the original position in head (10) .
Install makeup valves (4) in head (10). Install O-ring seal (6) to each plug (5). Install valves (8), springs (7), and plugs (5). Tighten plugs (5) to a torque of 540 80 N m (400 60 lb ft).

Install backup ring (2) and O-ring seal (3) on each relief valve assembly (1) .

Note: Be sure to install each relief valve assembly (1) in the original position in head (10) .
Install relief valve assemblies (1) in head (10). Tighten relief valve assemblies (1) to a torque of 180 12 N m (135 9 lb ft).
To avoid system damage, make sure that the hydraulic motor is properly filled with hydraulic oil before start-up.
