Illustration 2 g06256299There have been reports of broken clutch cylinder teeth being found in the suction screen or magnet. To date, this issue has not caused an operational failure.Solution
If a broken tooth is found, perform the following steps:
Provide the machine Serial number and hours.
Provide pictures of the debris found.
Provide the total number of pieces of teeth found.
Provide the Product Status Report (PSR) with all the histogram data from all available ECMs.Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but an Interim Repair has not been defined. If tooth pieces are found in a suction screen, provide CPI feedback. If the damage is found while the transmission is torn down, replace and hold the shaft for a possible Send It Back request.Report this information to your Dealer Technical Communicator (TC) along with this TIBU M0088367 and CPI 394043.Request the Dealer TC to provide any feedback regarding this issue to Caterpillar by completing a CPI Feedback Form at Service Information Management System (SIMSi).
