1. Remove bolt (1) and nut (2). Remove bracket (4). Remove fuel filter outlet line (3) from the filter and fuel injection pump housing.2. Remove the two clips that hold fuel filter supply line (5) to the cylinder block and governor housing. Remove fuel filter supply line (5) from the filter and transfer pump. 3. Disconnect oil supply line (8) from the oil manifold.4. Remove bracket (7). 5. Remove bolts (6) that hold the fuel injection pump housing to the accessory drive. Remove fuel injection pump housing (9) and governor as a unit. 6. Remove oil manifold (10).Install Fuel Injection Pump Housing And Governor
1. Make sure O-ring seals (1) are in position on the oil manifold. Put oil on all the O-ring seals on the oil manifold.2. Install oil manifold (2) on the bottom of the fuel injection pump housing.3. Check the timing of the accessory drive shaft. See INSTALL ACCESSORY DRIVE HOUSING.
Make sure the oil manifold sleeve slides into the fitting in the timing gear plate and oil supply tube (4) slides into the fitting on the oil manifold when the fuel injection housing and governor are installed.
4. Install the gasket between the fuel injection housing and the accessory drive housing. Put fuel injection pump housing and governor (3) in position as a unit. Make sure the end of the accessory drive shaft is engaged in the groove (slot) in the fuel injection pump camshaft.5. Put bracket (6) in position and install the two bolts that hold the bucket. Do not tighten the bolts. 6. Install bolts (5) that hold the fuel injection pump housing to the accessory drive. Tighten the two bolts that hold bracket (6) in place.7. Connect oil supply tube (4). 8. Install fuel filter supply line (10) to the filter and transfer pump. Tighten valve (9) to a torque of 18 to 22 lb.ft. (24 to 28 N m). Install the clips that hold the supply line to the cylinder block and governor housing.9. Install fuel filter outlet line (7) to the filter and the fuel injection pump housing. start by:a) remove fuel injection pump housing and governor 1. Remove lever (2) and cover (1) from the governor housing. 2. Remove screw (4) from rack stop collar (3) and remove collar (3). Remove the collar and spring from behind collar (3), if so equipped. 3. Remove bolts (5) that hold the governor housing to the fuel injection pump housing. Remove governor housing (6).4. Remove seat assembly (7) and spring (8). Remove the washer-type spring from the governor bolt and weight assembly.5. Remove bolts (9) and the lock that hold weight assembly (10) to the fuel injection pump housing.6. Pull weight assembly (10) straight back to remove it from the dowels in the pump housing. 7. Move the weight assembly (10) to the side to remove it from rack (11).Connection
