Information:

Note: Do not coat any fasteners with oil or with grease prior to tightening. Instructions are given when lubrication is required.Assembly Procedure
Note: Do not use petroleum based lubricants. Do not use silicon based lubricants. Do not use any of the lubricants that are not listed below.Note: The recommended lubricant for the rubber components of the advanced modular cooling system (AMOCS) is 207-1601 Rubber Lubricant ( 207-1600 Rubber Lubricant in EAME). Do not allow the 207-1601 Rubber Lubricant ( 207-1600 Rubber Lubricant in EAME) to freeze.Note: The following lubricants are acceptable for use on the rubber components of the advanced modular cooling system (AMOCS): 5P-3975 Rubber Lubricant , antifreeze and soap that does not contain chlorine and soap that is not abrasive.Note: Steps 1 through 8 are for all the machines in this special instruction.

Apply 207-1601 Rubber Lubricant ( 207-1600 Rubber Lubricant in EAME) to the mating surfaces of radiator core (1) and spacer (2). Install spacer (2) and retainer (3) on radiator core (1). Ensure that spacer (2) is seated on radiator core (1). Ensure that retainer (3) is seated firmly on the lip of spacer (2). Retainer (3) should not be misaligned.

Note: When a radiator core (1) is installed a new seal (4) should be used.
Apply 207-1601 Rubber Lubricant ( 207-1600 Rubber Lubricant in EAME) to the internal diameters and the external diameters of new seal (4). Install new seal (4) on bottom tank (5) .
Reapply 207-1601 Rubber Lubricant ( 207-1600 Rubber Lubricant in EAME) to the inside diameters of seals (4) prior to the installation of radiator core (1) .
Apply 207-1601 Rubber Lubricant ( 207-1600 Rubber Lubricant in EAME) to the outside diameters of the two tubes on the bottom of radiator core (1) .Note: In order to install a complete set of radiator cores, begin with the outside radiator cores and work toward the center of the radiator.
Install radiator core (1) on the machine. Position the vent tubes on the top of the radiator cores point toward the front of the machine. In extreme conditions of sand blasting you may rotate the radiator cores to 180 degrees in order to extend the radiator cores life. When the lower tubes on the radiator core are centered in the seal bores, use downward hand pressure to install the radiator core.

Hold downward hand pressure on the radiator core and install two bolts and washers (8) in radiator core (1). If necessary, use clamp (6) or clamp (7) in order to install two bolts and washers (8) .Note: Ensure that spacer (2) and retainer (3) are seated on the radiator core. The retainer should not be misaligned prior to installing the bolts.
