1. Remove connector (1) and the O-ring seal. Remove connector (2) and the O-ring seal from the pump housing. 2. Remove spring (3), valve (4) and the seal from the pump housing.
Cover (6) is under spring tension. To prevent personal injury, carefully remove bolts (5) to release the spring tension.
3. Carefully remove bolts (5), cover (6), the seal and spring from the pump housing. 4. Remove plate (7), the valve and seal from the pump housing. 5. Remove snap ring (8) that holds tappet (9) in position. Remove tappet (9) from the pump housing.Assemble Fuel Transfer Pump
1. Put tappet (2) in position in the pump housing, and install snap ring (1) that holds it in place. 2. Install seal (6), valve (3) and plate (4) in piston (5) as shown. 3. Install piston assembly (7) and spring (8) in the pump housing as shown. 4. Install seal (10) in cover (9), and put clean diesel fuel on the O-ring seal.5. Put cover (10) in position on the pump housing, and install the bolts that hold it in place. 6. Install seal (11) in the bore of the pump housing. 7. Install valve (13) and spring (12) in the pump housing. 8. Be sure the O-ring seals are in position on connector (14) and connector (15), and put clean diesel fuel on the O-ring seals.9.
