Information:

At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the implement hydraulic circuits (boom, stick and bucket) before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows: a. Fully retract the rod in the stick cylinder.b. Adjust the position of the bucket so it will be flat on the ground when the boom is lowered.c. Lower the boom until the bucket is flat on the ground.d. Stop the engine, and put the hydraulic activation control lever in the "Lock" position.e. Move the control levers for the boom, bucket, stick and swing through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.f. Slowly loosen the Fill/Vent plug on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.g. Tighten the Fill/Vent plug on the hydraulic oil tank.h. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed.2. Open the hood of the machine.3. Drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 90 liters (23.7 U.S. gal). 4. Remove four bolts (1), the spacers and sheet assembly (4) from the machine.5. Remove eight bolts (2), the washers and sheet assembly (3) from the machine.

Put plugs in the hose assemblies to prevent oil loss and to keep dirt out of the hydraulic system. 7. Remove bolt (7) to disconnect clamp (6) from the tube assembly at the back side of the main control valve. 8. Remove four bolts (8), the washers and support assembly (9). 9. Remove four socket head bolts (10) from block (11) on the side of the hydraulic oil tank.10. Remove four bolts (12) and the washers. Move hydraulic oil filter (13) away from the hydraulic oil tank. 11. Put identification marks on the two wires connected to the sending unit on the side of the hydraulic oil tank. Disconnect two wires (14) from the sending unit. 12. Remove four socket head bolts (15) to disconnect pipe assembly (16) from the bottom of the main hydraulic pump. Put a plug in the pipe assembly to prevent oil loss and to keep dirt out of the hydraulic system. 13. Remove clamp (17). Slide hose assembly (18) off of the hydraulic oil tank.

Fasten Tool (A) and a hoist to the top of the hydraulic oil tank as shown. Carefully remove hydraulic oil tank (20) from the machine. The empty weight of the hydraulic oil tank is 125 kg (275 lb). There are shims used between the hydraulic oil
