At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the hydraulic system before and hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows: a. shut off the engine.b. Move the control levers through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.c. Slowly loosen the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.d. Tighten the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank.e. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed.
At operation temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap from the radiator slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
Release the pressure in the cooling system by slowly loosening the filler cap on the radiator. Drain the coolant from the radiator and oil from the hydraulic oil cooler.Start By:a. remove hood1. Drain the coolant below the level of the radiator. 2. Secure top rail (1) with straps and hoist. 3. Remove bolts and washers (2) and remove top rail (1). The weight of the rail (1) is 45 kg (100 lb). 4. Disconnect two hydraulic lines (3), disconnect two water lines (4) and disconnect small water line (5). 5. Disconnect two brackets (6) and move the two air conditioning lines and the hydraulic line off to one side. 6. Remove bolts and washers (7) to loosen fan guard (8). 7. Disconnect hydraulic lines (9) on the fan motor. 8. Disconnect terminal (10) and lay off to one side. 9. Disconnect bracket (11) on bottom of H-Bar (12). 10. Secure H-Bar (12) with straps and hoist as shown. 11. Remove two bolts and washers (13) and move oil drain line (14) out of the way. 12. Remove bolts (16) and remove bottom left section on fan guard (8). This is done for clearance. Remove bolts and washers (15) and remove H-Bar and the fan assembly. 13. Remove bolt and large washer (17) and remove fan (18) from the fan assembly. 14. Remove bolts (19) and remove fan motor (20).
