Assembly Procedure

Install strike-off plate (9) on strike-off frame (8) and install two bolts (14). Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of 40 8 N m (30 6 lb ft). The bolts must be loosened 180 degrees.

Install strike-off shoe (13) and six bolts (12) .
Install plate (11) and two bolts (10). Align the bottom edge of plate (11) even with strike-off shoe (13) .

Install two bearing blocks (5), two shims, and four bolts (3) loosely on strike-off frame (8). Apply 5P-0960 Multipurpose Grease to two bearing blocks (5) and to two bearing caps (6) .
Install adjustment rod (7), two bearing caps (6), and four bolts (4). Tighten four bolts (3) .

Install two adjusters (2) and four bolts (1) .End By: Install the deflector (strike-off). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Deflector (Strike-Off) - Install".
