Adjustments for the Transmission Clutch Pressure
If the clutch does not get calibrated through an Electronic Calibration, then adjustment of the pressure can only be made through the main relief valve. If main relief pressure is within specification but clutch pressure is not, then troubleshooting the clutch and/or ECPC valve will be required.Note: The engagement pressure for a lockup clutch should be recalibrated whenever the engagement pressures for the transmission clutches are recalibrated. The transmission hydraulic control relief valve is located under the cover on the transmission.

(11) Adjustment screw The pressure reading for the transmission system at pressure tap (8) should be within the values in Table 3. If the pressure is not, adjust the spring on the transmission hydraulic control relief valve. Use the following procedure.
Remove cover (10).
Turn adjustment screw (11) in the proper direction. Turning the adjustment screw clockwise increases pump pressure. Turning the adjustment screw counterclockwise decreases pump pressure. One full turn of the adjustment screw changes pump pressure approximately 160 kPa (23 psi).
Install cover (10).
Check the transmission system pressure again. Check the pressure with the values in Table 3. Worksheet
