Use this procedure in order to troubleshoot a high differential pressure for the air inlet system. Also, use this procedure if one of the following diagnostic codes is active.

Troubleshooting Test Step Value Result
1. Check the Air Filter Element
A. Check the air intake system for plugged air filters or for damaged air filters.
Air Filter Element
Result: The air filter element is plugged or the piping is restricted.
Repair: Clean or replace the air filter element. Perform any necessary repairs.
Verify that the repair eliminated the problem.
Result: The air filter element is not plugged and the piping is not restricted.
Proceed to Test Step 2.
2. Inspect the Enclosure
A. Check that the engine has been installed in an enclosure that is sufficiently ventilated.
Enclosure
Result: The engine enclosure is not sufficiently ventilated.
Repair: Repair the ventilation for the enclosure.
Verify that the repair eliminated the problem.
