The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.

Remove pin (1) and pin (2) in order to disconnect cable assembly (4) from plate (3).

Use a suitable lifting device and secure cable assembly (4) to the plate, as shown. The cable assembly weighs approximately 56 kg (124 lb).

Insert pin (2) through plate (3). Insert pin (1) through pin (2). Note: During normal truck operations, do not remove pin (5) from plate (3).
Repeat Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3 for opposite side cable assembly (4).
Lower the truck body. Installation Procedure
Raise the truck body.
