Remove the cylinder head. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cylinder Head - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Use Tooling (A) to remove valve lifters (1). Place identification marks on the valve lifters for installation purposes. Installation Procedure

Apply Tooling (B) to valve lifters (1) prior to installation. Use Tooling (A) to install valve lifters (1) in the original location in the cylinder block. End By:
