Removal Procedure
Raise the hood.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Disconnect harness assemblies (2) from soot sensor antenna (1). Remove all loop clips (3). Repeat for the opposite side.

Remove plate assembly (4) .

Remove remaining loop clips (3). Disconnect harness assembly (5), remove bolts (6), and remove soot sensor (7) .Installation Procedure
Install soot sensor (7) in the reverse order of removal.

Typical example
Keep a minimum diameter bend of 102 mm (4.0 inch) for harness assemblies (2). Refer to Illustration 4 as an example.
Hand tighten harness assemblies (2) .
Tighten the bolts for loop clips (3) to a torque of 15 3 N m (133 27 lb in).
