This article tells about the use of new shafts and pins in the transmission.Description of Change: Slots have been added to the directional planet carrier in the transmissions of the above machines. These slots will permit the use of both retaining pins and balls to hold the shafts in position in the planet carrier. Use of both pins and balls will help make sure the shafts do not move in or out of the planet carrier.Adaptable As: The 9P3663 Planet Carrier is a direct replacement for the former planet carrier. The part number did not change. Planet carriers available for service have these slots. When both pins and balls are used, the 6T4481 Shaft and 5H3182 Pin must be used. See the reference article.
