Note: The manual pitch-link shown in Illustration 6 is standard on K and K2 models, a power pitch-link version is optional on K2 models.
Remove band that secured the pitch-link for shipping. For machines with manual pitch-link, remove cover assembly (14) by removing lock pin (15) and pin (16) .

From the blade, remove one boss (13), one hard washer (6), and one bolt (7). Install the pitch-link assembly onto the blade as shown in Illustration 8. It may be necessary to lean the blade rearward to move the attachment point on the blade to a position where the pitch-link can be connected to the blade. This can be accomplished by removing the blocking from under the C-frame, and carefully lowering the C-frame so the shop floor pushes up on the cutting edge and leans the blade rearward. Power pitch-link equipped machines may be able to make this connection by actuation of the power pitch hydraulic cylinder without tipping blade rearward.
Connect the pitch-link to the blade then reinstall one boss (13), one hard washer (6) and one bolt (7) to secure the pitch-link to the blade. Torque to 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).

Replace cover assembly (14) onto the manual pitch-link, and note the position of the notch on the side of the rod eye relative to the scale on the cover. Remove cover and adjust the pitch link by turning the block until the notch on the rod eye is roughly at the midpoint of the scale on the cover. This is the "mid-pitch" position of the blade. Install the cover and secure the cover with the pin (16) and the lock pin (15) .Procedure to Install the Tilt and Angle Cylinders

Connect the tilt cylinder to the blade. Install a spacer (8) on each side of the tilt cylinder rod end. Install a pin (11) and secure it with a retainer (10) and a bolt (9) .

Connect the angle cylinders to the blade. Install a spacer (12) on each side of the left angle cylinder rod end. Install a pin (11) and secure it with a retainer (10) and a bolt (9). Repeat for the right angle cylinder.

Note: The following instructions apply to D5K2, D4K2 and D3K2 series only. These instructions are necessary to enable the angling function that is disabled in the factory for shipping K2 machines without a blade installed.

Turn Battery disconnect to the ON position
Turn the key switch to the OFF position

Turn the key switch to ON, do not start engine.

Press and hold both display buttons for 5 seconds to enter service mode.
