Front of Engine, Right Side (8) Coolant temperature sensor (9) Air intake temperature sensorThe coolant temperature sensor and the intake air temperature sensor are located on the right side of the engine. The engine compartment cover provides access to these components. The coolant temperature sensor and the intake air temperature sensor provide input signals to engine ECM (6). The engine ECM uses these two temperature measurements, along with the hydraulic oil temperature, in order to calculate the correct fan speed. Hydraulic Components

Engine Compartment (1) Cooling packageThe hydraulic oil cooler is part of cooling package (1). The cooling package is located above the engine and below the fan. The engine compartment cover provides access to the hydraulic oil cooler and the other components of the cooling package. The cooling package consists of the three components: air-to-air aftercooler, radiator and hydraulic oil cooler. The hydraulic oil cooler cools the hydraulic oil that is returned through the oil cooler bypass manifold. If the oil cooler becomes clogged, a relief valve in the oil cooler bypass manifold opens. This Location is Under the Operator Platform on the Right Side of Machine. (2) Oil cooler bypass manifoldOil cooler bypass manifold (2) is located under the operator's platform. Case drain oil from the following hydraulic systems is sent to the oil cooler bypass manifold:
Cooling fan system
Propulsion system
Auger system
Conveyor system
Generator systemThe ports of oil cooler bypass manifold (2) are marked for identification. Oil from the fan motor case drain is directed into port "J" of the manifold. The combined return oil from the connected hydraulic systems is sent out of Port "TC" of oil cooler bypass manifold to the oil cooler. The oil cooler bypass manifold is equipped with a 103 kPa (15 psi)check valve. When the pressure differential across the oil cooler is greater than the value of the check valve, the valve opens. After the valve opens, the oil is returned directly to the hydraulic tank. Filter (Cooling Fan)
