Lubricate 1 fitting.(21)Fan And Alternator Belts
1. Check condition of belts. Always install a matched set when belts need replacing. 2. Check adjustment. Correct adjustment allows 7/8 inch (22 mm) deflection. 3. Loosen mounting bolts and move alternator to adjust belts.(22)Steering Clutch Brakes
Check adjustment. Adjust brakes when pedal travel reaches 6 to 6-1/2 inches (150 to 165 mm). To Adjust:1. Remove guard and cover. 2. Turn adjusting screw in until tight. Back screw out 11/2 turns (9 clicks).Diesel Engine Crankcase
Engines Equipped With Spin-on Type Filters
The normal oil and oil filter change interval for naturally aspirated engines is every 500 service hours or 3 months. 1. Run engine long enough to warm the oil. Stop engine. Open drain valve. 2. Remove and discard filters. 3. Clean filter housing base. Be sure all of old filter gasket is removed. 4. Install filter.5. Tighten filter 1/2 turn after filter gasket touches filter housing base.6. Install crankcase drain plug. 7. Remove breather. Wash breather elements in clean solvent. 8. Inspect seal. Install new seal if necessary. Install breather. Tighten bolt to 10 2 lb. ft. (1,4 0,3 mkg). 9. Fill crankcase. See Refill Capacities. Install fill cap.10. Check oil level. Oil should be in safe starting range on engine stopped side of dipstick.11. Start engine and check oil level. Oil should be at FULL mark on engine running side of dipstick. Check for leaks.Engines Equipped With Cartridge-type Filters
