Problem
The former 2W7984 and 2W7985 Cylinder Head Gaskets are subject to failure due to exhaust gas leakage. The new 7E7308 and 7E7312 Cylinder Head Gaskets should provide better sealing capability for both exhaust gas and fluids with its improved design.
Action Required
Remove all 2W7984 and 2W7985 Cylinder Head Gaskets from parts stock and from gasket kits in parts stock. Replace 2W7984 Cylinder Head Gaskets with 7E7308 Cylinder Head Gaskets. Replace all 2W7985 Cylinder Head Gaskets with 7E7312 Cylinder Head Gaskets.
