(A) 8F-8052 Lockwasher (B) 4B-1283 Screw or any other screw that does not have a hex head
Make sure that the 8M-6802 Hex Socket Screw is not installed on your machine. No additional action is required if the hex socket screws are installed. Proceed to Step 2 or Step 3 if other types of screws are installed on your machine. Refer to Illustration 1 for the verification of the type of former screws.

Typical Door Group (C) 8M-6802 Hex Socket Screw
Remove alternating 4B-1283 Screw and 8F-8052 Lockwasher from the door hinge. Replace the screw and the washer immediately with a new 8M-6802 Hex Socket Screw. The new hex socket screw does not require a lockwasher. Tighten the new screw to a torque of 12 3 N m (9 2 lb ft). Repeat the process for the remaining screw locations. Refer to Illustration 2.
Remove one 4B-1283 Screw and 8F-8052 Lockwasher from the door hinge. Replace the screw and the washer immediately with a new 8M-6802 Hex Socket Screw. The new hex socket screw does not require a lockwasher. Tighten the new screw to a torque of 12 3 N m (9 2 lb ft). Repeat the process for the remaining screw locations.
