Separate the track. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Separate". Note: Adjust the height of Tooling (A) in order to provide sufficient clearance for the removal of the hydraulic track adjuster when Tooling (A) is installed under the frame of the machine.

Raise the side of the machine, and install Tooling (A) under the frame.
Remove the track roller that is located under the hydraulic track adjuster. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Roller - Remove".

Use a pry bar to move the front idler and recoil spring assembly forward approximately 152 mm (6.0 inch) in the undercarriage frame. Note: The front track carrier roller has been removed in order to provide a better illustration of two mounting bolts (1) that secure the hydraulic track adjuster to the vertical bulkhead in the undercarriage frame.

Loosen, but do not remove bolts (1) that secure the hydraulic track adjuster to the undercarriage frame. Access bolts (1) through the opening in the undercarriage frame below the track carrier roller.

The weight of the hydraulic track adjuster is approximately 10 kg (22 lb). Remove bolts (1) and remove the track adjuster (2).
