This new electronic control group: * Is compatible with Customer Communications Module (CCM) Personal Computer (PC) software.* Is more resistant to interference from electronic noise.* Provides easier access to the software because of a plate that has been added to the top of the housing.* Has improved sensitivity which helps prevent false diagnostic codes 318-01 and 319-01 (No Detonation Sensor Signal).Adaptable To: The new 142-7472 Electronic Control Group is a direct replacement for the 124-4565 Electronic Control Group in the EIS on these engines. For communication between the Digital Diagnostic Tool (DDT) and the EIS electronic control group to exist, the customer must have the latest Service Program Module (SPM) chip which is version 1.6.
