Description of Change: The new air compressor support bracket is designed for extended service life and durability.Adaptable To: Installation of 247-5712 Bracket As may require a reconfiguration of the fuel filter. If a reconfiguration is necessary, then use the procedure out lined below.Refer to Table 1 for a list of effective serial numbers.

Configuration of High Mount Fuel Filters

Remove the P-clips holding the fuel line (1). Cut the wire straps on the wire harness.

Use the following procedure to install the mounting bracket (8) .
Install bracket (8), spacer (2), washer (3), and 3B-1915 Bolt (5). Hand tighten.
Install spacers (2), washers (3), and 129-3172 Mounting Studs (6). Hand tighten.
Install bolts to the air compressor.
Install spacer (2), washer (3), and 6V-5842 Bolt (4) to the top right pump hole. Torque completely.
Install spacer (2), washer (3), and 180-4686 Bolt (7) to the lower right pump hole. Torque completely.
Torque all remaining bolts and studs.

(9) Ladder clip (10) 5M-2894 Hard Washer (11) 9s-8752 Full Nut (12) 336-8613 Clip
Use a washer (10) and a nut (11) to install the ladder clip (9) on the top 129-3172 Mounting Stud .
Use a washer (10) and a nut (11) to install the P-clip (12) to the bottom 129-3172 Mounting Stud. Position the clips as shown in Illustration 3.Configuration of Mid Mount Fuel Filters

Remove the 160-4372 Base Support (1) and retain the bolts for reuse. Remove the base bracket (2) .
Remove the three fuel lines (3) .
Remove wire ties and remove wire harness.

Use 1A-2029 Bolts (5) and 5M-2894 Hard Washers (6) to install the 137-5110 Bracket (4) to the head.

Replace the existing vertical fuel fittings with 030-7947 Elbows (8) . Install fuel filter base (7) .
