Start By:a. remove belt tightener 1. Remove two setscrews (2), and remove pulley (1) from the shaft. 2. Remove two bolts (3) that hold shaft (4) to the adapter, and install two 1"-14 NF guide bolts. 3. Remove the remainder of the bolts, and remove shaft (4). Remove the key from the shaft. 4. Fasten a hoist and tooling (A) to vibration damper (5) as shown. Remove vibration damper (5) and the adapter as an assembly. The weight of the vibration damper and adapter is 63 kg (139 lb.). 5. Remove the bolts that hold vibration damper (5) to adapter (6). Remove the vibration damper from the adapter.Install Crankshaft Pulley And Vibration Damper
1. Inspect the vibration damper for signs of leakage or a dented (damaged) housing (1). Either condition can cause metal ring (2) to make contact with housing (1) and effect damper operation. 2. Align the mark on vibration damper (3) with the mark on adapter (4), and install the vibration damper on the adapter. Install the bolts that hold the vibration damper to the adapter. 3. Install two 1"-14 NF guide bolts in the end of the crankshaft.4. Fasten a hoist and tooling (A) to vibration damper (3) and the adapter.5. Put vibration damper (3) and the adapter in position on the guide bolts. 6. Align the mark on shaft (7) with the mark on the adapter. Put shaft (7) in position on the guide bolts. Install four bolts (5) to hold it in place.7. Remove the guide bolts, and install the remaining bolts (5).8. Put the key in the groove in shaft (7).9. Install pulley (6) on shaft (7). Install the pulley so that the front surface of the pulley is 1.6 3.0 mm (.063 .118 in.) in front of the surface of the fan drive pulley.10. Install the two setscrews in pulley (6) to hold it in place on the shaft.end By:a. install belt tightener
