Remove the main control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Control Valve - Remove". The information is in this manual.
Place identification marks on the main control valve for assembly purposes.

Remove two bolts (1) and the washers that secure housing (2) to valve body (3) . Remove housing (2) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) . Remove spool valve (4) from valve body (3) . Remove two bolts (5) and the washers that secure cover (6) to valve body (3) . Remove cover (6) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) .

Remove eight bolts (7) that secure two covers (8) to valve body (3) . Remove two covers (8) and the O-ring seals from valve body (3) .

Remove two bolts (9) and the washers that secure housing (10) to valve body (3) . Remove housing (10) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) . Remove spool valve (11) from valve body (3) . Remove two bolts (12) and the washers that secure cover (13) to valve body (3) . Remove cover (13) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) .

Remove two bolts (14) and the washers that secure housing (15) to valve body (3) . Remove housing (15) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) . Remove spool valve (16) from valve body (3) . Remove two bolts (17) and the washers that secure cover (18) to valve body (3) . Remove cover (18) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) .

Remove relief valve (19) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) . Remove plug (20) and the O-ring seal from valve body (3) . Remove two hydraulic fittings (21) and the O-ring seals from valve body (3) .

Disassemble spool valves (4) , (11) and (16) in the following procedure:

Install Tooling (A) to spool valves (4) , (11) and (16) . Place the spool valves in a hydraulic press. Install Tooling (B) to the spool valves.

Install Tooling (C) in order to protect the spool valves during disassembly and assembly. Loosely tighten Tooling (A) around Tooling (C) in order to compress the springs.

Compress the springs on the spool valves in order to remove three retainers (22) from spool valves (4) , (11) and (16) . Slowly release and carefully release the pressure on the springs. Remove the tooling from the spool valves. Remove two springs and three bottom retainers from the spool valves.
