To prevent possible personal injury, make sure all the pressure in the system has been released before any air lines are disconnected.
2. Open the drain valve on the air tank. 3. Disconnect hose assembly (1) and (5) from the air compressor.4. Disconnect oil tube (6) from the air compressor.5. Remove water inlet tube (4) from the engine oil cooler elbow and the air compressor.6. Remove air inlet tube (3) from the cylinder head assembly and the air compressor.7. Remove water outlet tube (2) from the cylinder head assembly and the air compressor. 8. Remove bolts (8), air compressor (7) and the gasket from the timing gear cover. 1. Make sure all gasket surfaces are clean and free of dirt. 2. Put the gasket and air compressor (1) in position on the timing gear cover as shown. Install the bolts that hold it in place. 3. Install air inlet tube (4) to the cylinder head assembly and the air compressor.4. Install water outlet tube (3) to the cylinder head assembly and the air compressor.5. Install water inlet tube (5) on the engine oil cooler elbow and the air compressor.6. Connect oil tube (7) to the air compressor.7. Connect hose assembly (2) and (6) to the air compressor.8. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. See Maintenance Guide.9. Close the drain valve on the air tank.
