Start By:a. remove tire and rim assemblies (rear) 1. Install two suitable size forcing screws (2) in brake drum (1). Tighten each forcing screw evenly to remove the brake drum from over the brake shoes. Using two person, carefully remove the brake drum from the axle group. The weight of the brake drum is 25 kg (55 lb).
During removal of the brake springs, the brake shoe linings can be damaged. To prevent damage to the brake shoe linings during brake spring removal, use a small wood block to protect the linings of the brake shoes.
2. Turn wheel hub/flange (3) until the slot in it is in alignment with the end of the brake spring.3. Install a small wood block on the lining of brake shoe (4) as shown. Use Tool (A) to remove the
