Remove the axle. Note: Position the final drive drain plug on the bottom of the final drive. Remove the drain plug.
Drain the oil from the final drive. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Final Drive Oil – Change " for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Remove two bolts (1) and install Tooling (A). Remove remaining bolts (1).

Attach Tooling (B) to final drive planetary carrier (2). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B). Remove final drive planetary carrier (2). The weight of final drive planetary carrier (2) is approximately 86 kg (190 lb).

Remove seal (3). Installation Procedure
Install final drive planetary carrier (2) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 430 60 N m (317 44 lb ft).
