Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install the heater coil.
Install foam insert (16) to fittings (17).

Install evaporator coil (15).

Connect the housing assembly, as shown.

Install screws (14) which hold the housing assembly together.

Install cover (13) and bolts (12).

Connect harness assembly (11).

Connect harness assembly (10). Install the cable straps which hold the harness assembly in place.

Carefully install heater coil and evaporator coil assembly (9) in the cab. Install bolt (8).

Install filter (6).

Close door (5).

Connect hose assemblies (4).
Install bolt (3) and the clip.

Connect hoses (2).

Connect harness assembly (1).
Charge the air conditioner system. The correct charge is 2.5 kg (5.5 lb). Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant" for the correct procedure. Refer to Special Publication, NEDG5065, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools.
Close the engine hood. End By:
Install the blower motor for the heater and air conditioner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Blower Motor (Air Conditioner, Heater) - Install".
