Do not use threaded rods that have not been hardened as tooling with hydraulic cylinders. The maximum rated tonnage should be stamped on one end of the puller studs. Do not use threaded rods that have not been stamped with the rated tonnage.
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

(4) Use Tooling (E) to remove retaining rings (4). (5) Use Tooling (B) to remove bearings (5). (6) Install collar (6). Refer to Table 2 for the correct torque. Tighten the pins for collar (6) to a torque of 8 N m (70 lb in). (7) Install piston (7). Refer to Table 2 for the correct torque. (8) Install piston (8) with the 0.50 mm (0.020 inch) orifice facing toward the hose ports on 224-9320 Stabilizer Cylinder Gp and 188-4991 Stabilizer Cylinder Gp. Install piston (8) with the 0.50 mm (0.020 inch) orifice facing away from the hose ports on 198-4694 Stabilizer Cylinder Gp.Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device to stabilizer cylinder (8). The weight of stabilizer cylinder (8) is approximately 102 kg (225 lb).
Position stabilizer cylinder (8).
Install pin (14).
Install bolt (13).
Connect hose assemblies (12).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install pin assembly (9) into stabilizer cylinder (8).
Install bolt (11).
Install spring (7) onto stabilizer (10).

Install guard (3).
Install bracket (2) into guard (3).
Install bolt (4).
Raise arm assembly (5) of the stabilizer to the Up position.

Install lock (1).
