Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the enclosure for the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure Group - Remove and Install".

Unlatch the engine hood and raise the engine hood.

Disconnect ether starting aid tube assembly (1) inside the engine compartment.

Disconnect ether starting aid tube assembly (2) outside the engine compartment. Remove the bolt, the washer, and bracket (3) that holds the ether starting aid tube assembly on the cover (4) .

Remove 12 bolts and washers (5) that hold covers (4) and (6). Remove covers (4) and (6) from the machine.

Install wrench (7) onto the belt tensioner (8). Rotate the belt tensioner (8) counterclockwise in order to release the tension in the fan drive belt (9). Remove the fan drive belt (9) from the machine.Installation Procedure
Inspect the belt for wear and for cracking. If the belt is worn or damaged, use a new belt for replacement.

Position the belt around the refrigerant compressor pulley, the alternator pulley and the crankshaft pulley, as shown.

Place cover (4) in position and install six bolts and washers (5). Place cover (6) in position and install six bolts and washers (5).

Install the bolt, the washer, and the bracket (3) that holds the ether starting aid tube assembly on the cover (4). Connect the ether starting aid tube assembly (2) outside the engine compartment.

Connect the ether starting aid tube assembly (1) inside the engine compartment.

Close and latch the engine hood.End By: Install the enclosure for the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure Group - Remove and Install".
