ELBOW 1M2782 - Caterpillar

Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes.
Remove the work tool.
Park the machine on level ground. Turn the upper frame to a 90 degree angle from the undercarriage.

Fully retract stick assembly (1). Install Tooling (A) in stick assembly (1). Position stick assembly (1) and Tooling (A) onto Tooling (B) .
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

Install Tooling (C) in order to secure the undercarriage. Release the parking brake. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Parking Brake - Release".
Remove the swivel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Swivel - Remove".
Remove the right side boom cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Boom Cylinder - Remove and Install".

Use a suitable lifting device in order to position Tooling (D). The weight of Tooling (D) is approximately 102 kg (225 lb).
Install pin assembly (5) and bolts (6). Reposition pin (4). Install plate (3) and bolts (2) .

Use a suitable lifting device to position Tooling (E) onto Tooling (F). The weight of Tooling (E) is approximately 227 kg (500 lb).

Position Tooling (E) and Tooling (F) under upper structure (7) .
Disconnect hose assembly (8) .
Place an alignment mark on upper structure (7) and swing bearing (11) for assembly purposes. Remove bolts (9) .
Use Tooling (A), Tooling (B), Tooling (E), and Tooling (F) in order to separate upper structure (7) from undercarriage (10) .

Remove Tooling (C) .
Attach a suitable device to a properly rated machine in order to reposition undercarriage (10) .
