3. Perform an injector leakoff test, to verify injector performance. Refer to Special Instruction KENR6938. Record leakoff rate within the claim story.
- If the amount collected is less than the limit, end test. No further action is required.
- If amount collected is greater than the limit,install a new set of fuel injectors, high-pressure fuel tubes, fuel pressure sensor, and fuel rail.
Replacement of high-pressure tubes, fuel injectors, feul pressure sensor, and fuel rail.
1. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly KENR6081 for procedures as necessary.
2. Replace the existing high-pressure fuel tubes, fuel injectors, fuel pressure sensor, and fuel rail.
3. On completion of the rework, check all connections are leak free.
