3. Remove bolt and washer (4). Remove sleeves (5). Remove the O-ring seals from the sleeves. 4. Remove four bolts (6), (7), (8) and (9) that hold the control valves to the transmission. 5. Remove bolt (12), spring (11) and sleeve (10) from the transmission. Remove O-ring seals (14) from sleeve. Remove O-ring seal (15) from the bolt. Push valve spools (13) in to valve housing. 6. Install tool (A) as shown. Fasten a hoist and remove control valves (16) from the transmission. The weight of the control valves is 41 kg (90 lb).Install Transmission Hydraulic Controls
Make sure the grooves (slots) in valve spools (2) are in alignment with the levers in the transmission. 1. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the control valves. Put control valves (1) in position in the transmission. 2. Install four bolts (3), (4), (5) and (6) that hold the control valves in position. Leave the bolts loose so that O-rings in the following steps do not get damaged. 3. Install new O-ring seals (10) on sleeve (7), install a new O-ring seal (11) on bolt (9). Install sleeve (7), spring (8) and bolt (9) in transmission. 4. Put clean transmission oil on the O-ring seals. Install O-ring seals (13) on sleeves (12).5. Install sleeves (12) in the transmission. 6. Tighten bolts (3), (4), (5) and (6) to a torque of 48 4 N m (35 3 lb ft). 7. Install washer (14) and the bolt that holds the sleeves in place.8. Install O-ring seals (15) in manifold. Install manifold (16) on the manifold. Install the bolts that hold the manifold to the transmission. 9. Install cover (17) on the transmission.Disassemble Transmission Hydraulic Controls
Start By:a. remove transmission hydraulic controls 1. Remove twenty-six bolts (1). Remove the manifold. 2. Make a separation of selector and pressure control valve group (4) and plate (3).3. Disassemble selector and pressure control valve (4) as follows: a. Remove bolts (6) and cover (5). Check the condition of the O-ring seals in the cover. If the seals are damaged, use new parts for replacement. b. Remove piston (9), two springs (8) and valve spool (7) from the valve body. Remove the spacers from inside of piston (9). c. Remove slug (11) and snap ring (10) from inside of valve spool (7). d. Remove ring (12), retainer (13), spring and ball (14) from valve spool (7).e. Remove spring (16) and valve spool (17) from the valve body.
Retainer (15) has tension on it from the springs behind it. Hold the retainer in position when the ring (18) that holds it is removed to prevent possible personal injury.
f. Remove ring (18), retainer (15) and the two springs from the valve spool (17). g. Remove dowel (22) from valve body. Remove valve spool (20) and spring (19) from the valve body. Remove slug (21) from the valve spool. h. Remove detent (24). Remove the seal from the detent. Remove pin and stop (23) from the valve body. i. Remove valve
