End Bracket Installation
Start By:
Ensure that the main rotor assembly has been properly installed. Refer to the "Rotor - Remove and Installation" section of this document.
Ensure that the high density protective plastic strips are in place. The protective plastic strips protect the rotor and the stator and assist in centering the rotor.
Ensure that the exciter rotor has been properly installed. Refer to the "1400 Frame Exciter Rotor and Stator Installation" section of this document.
Ensure that the rear bearing has been properly installed. Refer to the following note.
If removed previously, install the exciter stator into the bracket prior to the bracket installation.
The bearing sleeve must be installed with the bearing. There is a flange that is on the outside perimeter of the bearing sleeve. Due to the location of the flange, it will not be possible to install the sleeve after the bearing is fitted on the rotor shaft! Refer to the "1400 Frame Rear Bearing Removal and Installation" section of this document.
1400 Frame End Bracket Installation
Install the spring washer (1) into the bracket bearing cavity. The spring washer can be secured in the cavity with dabs of grease.

Apply the appropriate lubricating grease to the surface of the bearing sleeve (2) and to the outer ring of the bearing.

Application of Lubricant on Bearing Sleeve
Install a 1U-6341 Threaded Rod (3) into the bearing sleeve (2). Refer to Illustration 3. Note: There are four equally spaced holes that are in the bearing sleeve that are used
