Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Inspect the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets. Replace the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets that are worn or damaged.Note: Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Install O-ring seal (4) onto seat (7). Install seat (7) into valve body (1).
Install O-ring seal (9) onto plug (3). Install shims (6), spring (8) and valve (5) into plug (3). Install plug (3) into valve body (1). Note: In order to determine the correct amount of shims (6), Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Cylinder Crossover) - Test and Adjust".
Repeat Steps 1 through 2 for the remaining plug.

Install nipple assemblies (2) and the O-ring seals into valve body (1). End By:
Install the steering cylinder crossover relief valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Relief Valve (Cylinder Crossover) - Install".
