The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below. Problem
Product Link is sending multiple registration messages. The messages are generated as part of the normal operation of Product Link. The messages can be caused when either of the following conditions occur:
A 1250-9 diagnostic error occurs. This pertains to modules that are using software prior to v3.0. Multiple registration messages could occur due to this diagnostic.
The PL121 is flashed before the PL300 and a confirmation e-mail address is populated. This pertains to the following processes: registration and flashing. If these actions occur in this sequence, then three registration messages could be received. Solution
The resolution to this problem includes the following:
Update the software to v3.0.
Troubleshoot the 1250-9 diagnostic. Refer to Troubleshooting, RENR7911, "MID 122 - CID 1250 - FMI 09".
Contact the Dealer Solution Network (DSN) for assistance under the following conditions:
You are using v3.0 software and you continue to receive excessive registration messages.
