Start By:
Remove the turbocharger, if equipped. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (1). Remove exhaust manifold (3) and gasket (2) .Installation Procedure

Install gasket (2) and exhaust manifold (3). Install bolts (1). Tighten the bolts, beginning at the center of the exhaust manifold and working toward the ends, to the following torque:Naturally aspirated engines ... 15 to 22 N m (11 to 16 lb ft)Turbocharged engines ... 28 to 33 N m (21 to 24 lb ft)End By: Install the turbocharger, if equipped. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
