TECHNICAL INFORMATION BULLETIN MARCH 05, 2003
EXCAVATORS THIS TIB REPLACES THE FEBRUARY 12, 2003 EXCAVATORS TIB (TIBU3793-00), COMPONENT CODES 1374, 1386, 1350, HYDRAULIC OIL OVERCOOLING. DESTROY THE FEBRUARY 12, 2003 TIB.
385B L (ANS) EXCAVATORS
Component Code(s) 1374, 1386, and 1350SUBJECT: HYDRAULIC OIL OVERCOOLING
PROBLEM:
Hydraulic oil may overcool during machine operation in cold weather conditions. Overcooling occurs because the fan pump control runs at a constant speed regardless of the ambient temperature.
SOLUTION:
The installation of an ambient temperature sensor will prevent the hydraulic oil from overcooling. Use the modification that follows in order to install an ambient temperature sensor. Effective with 385B L (ANS305) Excavator, the fan speed control becomes variable. The fan speed will vary from 300 rpm to 800 rpm.
