1 - - Lubricate the bore lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
2 1 2M-2858 Duo-Cone Seal Gp The rubber toric seals and all the contacting surfaces must be clean and dry at assembly. Before assembly, apply a thin layer of oil to the contacting surfaces of the metal seal rings. The seal rings must be assembled square. The rubber toric seal should not bulge and the rubber toric seal should not twist. Refer to Special Instruction, SEHS8364, "Assembly and Installation of Conventional Duo-Cone Seals"
3 1 8P-6188 Retainer Plate Assemble the face of the plate that is ground to the end of the shaft and bearing.
4 - - Before assembly, apply green Loctite 620 to the surfaces.
5 - - Before assembly, apply blue Loctite 243 to the surfaces.
