Schematic of the Pressure Sensor Swing Brake Pilot This diagnostic code is associated with the Pressure Sensor Swing Brake Pilot. The FMI 06 means that the ECM has determined that the current of the circuit for the position sensor is below normal. The output of the swing brake's pilot pressure sensor is a 500 Hz PWM signal. The PWM signal has a variable duty cycle from 0 percent to 100 percent. The duty cycle changes as the pressure changes. The change in the duty cycle is directly proportional to the change in the applied pressure. Faults are logged when the frequency of the sensor reaches zero. When the sensor frequency reaches zero the duty cycle is at 0 percent. No pressure is associated with a duty cycle of 0 percent. The possible causes of this diagnostic code are listed below:

The sensor has failed.
